Congratulations to the BSFC UPSL team that finished in 2nd place in their inaugural season, just behind Brockton United FC, in the New England Premiere Division. Despite beating Lincoln FC 4-0 in their last regular season game and finishing with a record of 5-1-4, our BSFC team lost in the semi-finals 1-0 against Unations FC.
BSFC was one of the 10 expansion clubs added to the UPSL for the 2022 Spring season. “With the help of the UPSL, we were able to offer an opportunity to our Boston Soccer Community play in an elite league” said President Juan Cardenas. “I’m very pleased with our first season in the UPSL. Our players were able to adjust to playing with new players and created a competitive environment at training every week! We had success on the field as we were able to beat some really great teams. The results from this season give me hope for future UPSL seasons for our BSFC men.” added Cardenas.
We hope everyone was able to get out to one of our UPSL games and see our BSFC team in action. Thank you to all of our BSFC players for being a part of this incredible experience, we LOVED showing our players what hard work and dedication to our sport truly looks like!
The future is bright for BSFC as they pave the way for future PRO athletes and establish a playing ground for x-PRO athletes who wish to compete at high levels. BSFC will continue their mission to be a community oriented organization whose purpose is to develop individual and team soccer excellence in order to compete at the highest level each individual and team is capable.
