Club Registration

Welcome to the CLUB

Congratulations on making this commitment to the next level for the UPSL Spring 2025. As part of accepting a position, players must understand the obligations and commitments associated with accepting a position with the club. Upon receipt of registration payment, the player acknowledges all terms and rules.

A. Club Registration

The total cost per player for the 2025 Spring Season is $1,000. The registration includes the following:

• Official UPSL Field and Referees fees
  • This covers all costs associated with referees and field permits.
• Club Administrative and Coaching fees
  • This cover the costs for coaching and administration. Club management ensures all documents, policies and finances are at good standing to enhance player experience. 
• Weekly Training Sessions
  • This cover all training sessions including pre-season, regular season, and post-season. 
• Photography + Videography 
  • This covers clubs game/training footage using VEO and also covers photographers fee for pictures taken at events, games, or trainings.  
• Uniform Fees + Laundry
  • Each player receives their own training jersey, training shorts, track pants, and track jacket. The club handles laundry for all game day uniforms and practice equipment. 
• Player Marketing  
  • Club will promote players via social media platforms using videos, graphics, photos, newsletter, and statistics.

B. Payment of the Registration Fee

The registration fee will be determined by the player and the club. Payments are accepted by credit card only. Payment plans are available only through ShopPay. 

The player is responsible for their uniform and the player will need to replace lost uniform.

The player will be liable for the costs of attending league games, including but not limited to lodging, meals, and travel costs such as mileage, tolls, and airfare. These costs are not included in the registration.

C. Time to Rescind this Contract.

The player shall have 24 hours from registering to the club to rescind it for any reason without penalty and receive a full refund of all fees paid to the club. After the expiration of the 24 hours, the club reserves the right to withhold a refund and the player will be required to pay the entire agreed amount specified in paragraph B before being allowed to transfer to another club for the season.

D. Missed Training Sessions and Games

The player must understand that one of the requirements of registering is responsibility and honoring commitments. It is the player’s responsibility to attend all training sessions and games.

Players may be excused from absences for reasons such as but not limited to school, religion, work, emergencies, and illnesses. The play must notify the Head Coach in advance of the training session or game of such absence.

Unexcused absences will result in disciplinary action such as fines, suspension, or expulsion from the Club with no refunds. If an injury occurs and a player cannot play, the player will not be held liable for any disciplinary actions by the Club.

E. Player Responsibility and Conduct

Players will conduct themselves by CLUB and UPSL rules always or will be subject to disciplinary action and fines. The players understand they are expected to always behave professionally. Any player who insults, castigates, intimidates, or threatens a teammate, coach, referee, an opponent, or spectator, or damages their personal property before, during, or after the practice or game, will be fined up to $200, will be suspended for up to six (6) months for the first offense, one (1) year for the second offense, and banned from all UPSL activities for any further offense. 

Any player who physically assaults anyone will have a lifetime ban from the Club. Assault includes but is not limited to the following acts committed upon a referee: hitting, kicking, punching, choking, spitting on, body checking, head butting, or the act of kicking or throwing any object at anyone that could inflict injury. Additionally, the player will be fined $500.

No Player will be allowed to post on social media, websites, or anywhere else any negative or disparaging comments about the UPSL, CLUB, its affiliate members, and referees. Violation of this rule will result in a fine of $500 and possible game forfeiture, suspension, or banishment from the team.

F. Professionalism Expectation

All players are expected to wear their training uniforms and tracksuits at all practices, games, and events. Failure to wear club apparel will be considered unprepared and may dismissed from practices, games, or events. Player understands the club expectation is for players to present themselves professionally. 

It is advised that all players maintain a positive and professional image across social media. Social media is the first impression for coaches, scouts, and public viewers who wish to follow players professional journey.

H. Practice Schedule 

Practices will consist of Tuesdays and Thursdays after 7:00pm starting in March until the end of the season. Players will receive communications via WhatsApp regarding practice updates, cancellations, or rescheduling.

I. Player Awards and Recognition  

• National Top Scorer: $750 Cash Prize and Golden Boot
• 4 Regional Top Scorers: $250 Cash Prize and trophy

J. Player Insurance 

Players are provided secondary medical insurance coverage with maximum coverage of $25,000 with $1000 deductible. (Subject to change) Player Accident coverage is a secondary policy and becomes active upon payment of the player registration fee and the coverage period extends until completion of the UPSL Fall season for that year. Covered Persons are those players, coaches and officials who are registered with the United Premier Soccer League. Covered activities, subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of the policy, are for injuries resulting from accidents which occur whilst the Covered Person is participating as a member of a UPSL member club in a UPSL sanctioned event (scheduled game, tournament or club practice). The policy is a secondary policy meaning that a participant must rely on their primary medical insurance policy first before any claims.
